Cedaredge is a Statutory Town in Delta County, Colorado with a population of 1,854 at the 2000 census. Cedaredge is located in Surface Creek Valley beneath the southern slopes of the Grand Mesa, the largest mesa in the world. Enjoy the views of the San Juan Mountains, the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, and the communities of Delta, Olathe, and Montrose in Colorado. Cedaredge is a small, agricultural community that produces apples, peaches, and wine. The climate is mild, with snowy winters and hot and dry summers with scattered afternoon thunderstorms occurring often but delivering only a small amount of total precipitation. Regional activities include golfing, hiking, fishing, and in the winter, snowmobiling and skiing. Powderhorn Resort is located 30 miles north of Cedaredge and offers a variety of ski terrain. Attractions include Pioneer Town, a museum and historical village with a western saloon, marshall's office, barber shop, bank, clothing store, jail, creamery, and a working blacksmith's shop, Chapel of the Cross, and Doll and Toy House. Also, drive the Grand Mesa Scenic Byway north from Cedaredge along Highway 65, to the top of the Grand Mesa at more than 10,000 feet. You can stop and fish at one of the lakes in Grand Mesa National Forest.

Applefest is an annual celebration of apples, arts, music, and food held the first weekend in October with over 200 food, arts and crafts vendors along with a classic car show and antique tractor show.
